@US_Stormwatch Having lived in or spent significant amounts of time in some of the cities marked ideal, I don't think the authors know what they're talking about. Some of these are great for a few weeks a year (NOLA) while humid and hot most of the time, and you want Chicago in a polar vortex?

@data_republican I think the biggest difference is lack of family cohesion - lack of regular groceries & meals, lack of going to bed on time, worrying about the rent. I did my laundry, but for some kids, lack of clean clothes. Dealing with Mom's boyfriends and Dad's girlfriends and their kids.
