@PatSheahan1 @stierney123 Mine is very quiet too- her mother is a pet though which probably helps

Hot weather to go calving , but what do I know! At least she picked a shady corner and sorted herself. Jym bull (lm4872)-Loyal 3rd calver

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

@stierney123 Yes happy with him too.Have a full sister of this fella due end of October to Ivor- you calve any Jym hfrs yet?

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

Taxi for one! Guess who didn’t count the cattle in the loading pen carefully enough! Ah well sure it’s only a 20km round trip- that’ll learn me!

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

What do you mean? Of course we don’t have a problem with vampires… (any more ba ha ha!!!)

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

Where were you an hour ago when the work was done? Lapon bull calf - Immanuel cow looks unimpressed with my definition of perfect timing!

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

@stierney123 You can never have too much grass! Got a bout of the Covid and they were in for a couple of extra weeks than I planned! Most of the grazing is on the out farm and I wasn’t up to it.

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

Someone needed her tail clipped before she got out! Ironstone cow-Excel bull (3 mth)

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

@farmerdonegal Thanks- was in two minds whether to keep her- glad I did now!

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

Yes I did kick last year’s calf in the head til it gave up! I changed my mind- have you a problem with that? Lennox hfr calf - Ionesco 2nd calver. And no I don’t have a problem with that!!! (Wise decision on her part though!)

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

Wet Saturday means garlic weeding can’t be put on the long finger again! Warm and dry but hard on the oul back!

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

RBU cow. 12 yrs-12th calf (10 calvings) and a fortnight earlier than last year after twins! But better still it’s a heifer!

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

That feeling when you manage to fish the “good Stilson wrench” out of the slatted tank with fencing wire and a rake handle! 🥳In other news there’s still a metre of room in the tank and the crust is hard as hell !

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]

Tweeddale Lennox bull calf, Bavardage dam. 290 days 43kg - calved herself. Looked bit stocky at 3am - must have stretched overnight!

[granshalimousin @granshalimousin]
