A few years ago, I wanted Silicon Slopes to pay off every outstanding school lunch account in Utah.

I was told it’s not possible because some parents might take advantage. “So what?” I replied.

This heartbreaking story is about much more than that, but the part where he was eating food out of trash cans struck a chord.

No child in Utah should be denied lunch due to an outstanding or nonexistent account balance.

I’m not asking the government to fund it. Just let Utahns pay for it themselves.

I’m confident enough money could be raised in 48 hours to solve this problem forever.
