Most of my amide couplings have been for SPPS (which I think is more forgiving generally), but Ive usually only done 1-5 minute preactivations. I’m keen to hear what you’ve found

@mumumouse2 @akabconsulting Oh, well yeah I agree. There are certainly some reprographics and/or spectral acquisition issues, but I also don't think that necessarily explains away some of the blatant "funniness" of the trace. I'd want a closer look to be more confident in what I say

@akabconsulting @mumumouse2 Hm that doesn't quite look like roofing to me. Roofing indicates a coupling partner, and I don't see one here. Typically, roofing describes a slanting appearance of the peak heights, whereas these look like the entire peaks are tilted. I agree about the poor acquisition.

@SarahKheiredine When I first moved from US to UK, I was also a bit scared about how to get around. I've found that apps (eg, Uber) make the experience less jarring and feel more 'in control', as you can see your route in advance, etc. If you get overwhelmed, airport staff can help you!

@yinbaro2010 @That_Chemist For a daily task (eg checking your phone), if you reduce the time you do this by 5 minutes per day (ie make more efficient, “shave off”), in 5 years you’ll save 6 days. If you spent 6+ days making this change (eg developing a productivity app), it's no longer saving time.

@ho_ben @CarloLCordasco The “star” function collects multiple citations at time and exports all at once (instead of downloading/opening each individually) and ref managers clean up all of Google’s formatting/content errors. @SaschaGriffiths Endnote has worked great with sci pubs/books in my experience

@katiedimartin I came from v “humble beginnings” and ended up at Cambridge University, and a question I got from my mom and my friend group back home was “what State is that in?”. Took away from my sense of accomplishment (plus the normal PhD beatdown), so I’m joining the unabashed humblebrag!

It's a bit tricky to buy. When you search Sigma, diazald is listed as discontinued; however, it's sold under a new SKU now (73970) that ostensibly doesn't appear in searches
