@EikoFried I had a review request from an Elsevier journal recently that I went to decline, and uBlock blocked the link because it redirected/went through a site on Peter Lowe's ad and tracking list. It's ridiculous that they're putting tracking cookies in links sent to academic emails.
We are hiring a tenure-track assistant professor in clinical science! The link below has all the details. Please share widely. Thank you! DMs are open to answer questions.

@JennCVeilleux Yeah, I do; I included those two alone just because it was a secondary outcome and our scan time couldn't accommodate more trial types, so we went with the most-studied ones. I'd love to talk about better approaches!
@whlevine I would. My hope would be that the editor wants to use it to make a more informed decision before sending the manuscript out to others with reviewer requests.
@JennCVeilleux I'd love to hear your thoughts on better paradigms for the future! We included it as a secondary outcome, primary being EF, but I'd like my secondary outcomes to be the best they can be!
@Dr_MaytalM@ISPNE@AcademicChatter I read Nessa Carey's, "The Epigenetics Revolution," some time ago and liked it a lot. It could be somewhat dated now, though.
@dp_moriarity IMO if you're not sure you're doing something right, bring on a collaborator to help before submission. No one should rely on peer reviewers to catch their errors.
@dp_moriarity It's the editor's responsibility to ensure all aspects of the paper are reviewed w/ expertise. The authors presumably think everything is 💯 because they submitted. I'd be surprised if authors solicited feedback from others because reviewers said they lack expertise on an aspect
Meghan Quinn's and my paper integrating work on stress, executive control, and psychopathology is now published in Clinical Psychological Science! We propose a model to integrate this work. Check it out here:
