@dustfrmer Seeing the same unfortunate thing here. And the 5 bushel wheat will bring the combine to its knees. 100 bushel wheat you can speed right through
@FarmrHuntr I have not done the harvest run, but always encourage it. Great way to see the countryside.
Have him check out our website and see if our internship would interest him. Great way for farm kids to learn fast. That’s how I got my start. https://t.co/1cF1zW2UYW
@gavin_spoor It’s our #1 export unfortunately. Seeing the same here. There’s only so much you can do when you get a 13” storm early this year and too many 2-4” rains to count. Protecting the soil from raindrop impact is worthwhile IMO
I always like when you find a google earth image with the tractor/combine working in the field. Wasn’t expecting to run across this one. Louisville, Ky 😳
@JustNCas3 We plant 100% of our bean headlands last. I still haven’t mastered it with corn. Deere/precision combo is making it difficult. Open to suggestions….
@NKY_Corngrower Add the appropriate dummy layer to your 1st pass to trick the system. We use a tillage layer while planting our fall cover crop. Corn planter thinks it’s a strip till pass
