The problem is a pattern of political conmanship and deceit. He rejected the 2010 Constitution. He rejected BBI. Now he’s pushing a BBI-style project of his own, dressed up as “public participation” or “national dialogue.”
And somewhere along the way, he stopped talking about the hustlers and mama mbogas who carried him to power. Their struggles no longer feature in his speeches.
So the question is simple: how do you trust a leader whose positions shift with convenience, but whose promises to ordinary Kenyans quietly disappear?
