Grape DAO Call Recap - Sunday 18th October 2026

We opened with the current state of the market, analyzing the current downturn across the board ( stocks and crypto). Backpack was a standout in the sea of red, up 10% on the day.

We touched on DLMM positions on @MeteoraAG before moving into war updates (USA vs IRAN), including the France unrest and protests which are getting increasingly serious talking points includes the burning of a church over 143 years old was one of the talking points.

The second pass for the MERIT review for the quarter which kicked off on Tuesday was paused today as the the focus was the completion of GRIP and GUBA performance rewards for the previous month.

We also covered the Grape Verification update aimed at clamping down on Sybil accounts.

What it caught:

🔴Author has no active Grape Verification
🔴Author has zero DAO reputation this season
🔴A token holder with no prior voting history in the DAO
🟡Treasury assets leaving DAO-controlled accounts (2 transfers, 2 assets, 1 destination)
🟡Destination wallet unverified, with zero DAO reputation
🟡No proposal description at all

Every red flag was surfaced automatically, so members didn't have to dig through raw instructions to spot it.

we spent most of the time working through the final pass of performance for the month (Grip and Guba), September edition, covering active Grape contributors.

Extra levels were proposed starting with social media contributors, with plans to extend it across all contribution categories going forward.

@frankboccia_ came through with updates on @scoutfinance_ , including the Solana Foundation recognizing the product with a tweet from their main page, solid validation for the team.

We touched on the state of the market and some war updates before rounding up with raffles.

The first pass Guba and Grip proposal. (for the month of september) took up most of the call time and passed, solid progress there.

The Round Trip Competition has officially come to an https://t.co/6jbPwiNOZW was a fun one to watch unfold, with DAO members actively participating and the leaderboard changing positions throughout the competition.

Congratulations to @BearUntied , who finished in 1st place with a +10.63% performance, @ForkedKirk and @zukocatsol also put up strong performances, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. @0xcoffeeattack remained one of the active contenders throughout the competition, finishing 5th with a +2.55% performance.
Beyond the results, the competition gave us valuable feedback on the Grape Wallet experience.

The insights and feedback gathered from participants will help us continue improving and shaping the wallet. Thank you to everyone who participated, tested the wallet, shared feedback, and made the competition interesting.
