This weekend @CABWHP just wrapped 5 years of curating safe spaces & training of 160 Black women across California through Sisters Mentally Mobilized (SMM) to become mental health community advocates. As you can imagine the culmination with our LA cohort was magical!

My mentee has done all she can to change her life. She’s been on the straight & narrow since released from juvenile hall 8 years ago. She’s in school & being a great mom. She filed a complaint on a business owner who is an officer & now their fellow officers are harassing her.

She (naively) calls 911 about the harrassment and when the police show up, the ARREST HER for a false 911 and call DCFS on her. I’m LIVID right now.
