One of the greatest tragedies in life is that you'll always be loved more than you'll ever know .
Someone missed you today .
Someone noticed when you were gone .
Someone loves you when you're there .
Someone loves you when you're nowhere to be found at all .
@IamWarborn “ Fair, that was rude of me. I'm sorry. ”
» Jill put her hands up in surrender and shot him an embarrassed look.
“ I'm a bit too curious for my own good sometimes. ”
» Putting her hands down, she reached for another glass.
“ Do you want another drink? It's on me. ”
“ Welcome to Valhalla. What can I get you? ”
» As she turned to meet the gaze of the person who had just entered, her gaze had to go up. Way up.
» It would be rude to just comment "tall" like you would while driving past a cow or a horse. So she thought it instead.
@IamWarborn
@IamWarborn » Well that gave her the answer. Real. Huh.
Cool.
“ Glad you like it. ”
» She probably shouldn't pry, but she was curious. Without thinking, she bit her lip, as if physically holding back her words.
“ I'm pretty sure I haven't seen you around before. I think I'd remember. ”
@IamWarborn “ I know just the thing. ”
» She's still sort of trying not to stare. He wasn't the strangest person she'd seen in here, and he seemed polite, but...were those horns real?
» After a couple of shakes, Jill placed a red drink before him.
“ Sweet, classy, and makes you happy. ”
“ It has some alcohol, but you don't need to finish it. A "Bad Touch" should help relax you. ”
» She held it together while speaking, but as soon as she finished the sentence...
“ Pfffffff- ”
» She couldn't help being amused by her own joke, and a genuine laugh slipped out.
» One corner of Jill's mouth curled up into a half smile at Minako's giggle. She was glad that her clumsy attempts to cheer up the other woman were actually working. Something about how earnest she was when she leaned in, playing along with Jill, her eyes nearly sparkling, was ->
ㅤ
Minako cracks a giggle at the mention of "company overlords", how very real. Even if immediate management is fine, understanding even, there's always gonna be some kind of pencil pusher in a suit stressing about "the bottom line".
Typical, typical, typical. ->

just so...fun. At least someone found her amusing.
» Speaking of-
» Without another word, Jill grabbed several bottles. Time to test a theory.
“ This one is on me. ”
» She slid the glass forward, looking eagerly between Minako and the neon green drink.

@IamWarborn » God, he literally had to kneel to get to her height. She'd be embarrassed if it had anything to do with her height, but no, this dude is just massive.
“ That depends on your tastes really. We've got drinks mainly categorized as sweet, spicy, bubbly, sour, and bitter. ”
“ Got it. ”
» Jill poured a glass of water before placing it on the bar. Well that solves one mystery. But now the mystery is why he's here at all. Ah to pry or not to pry.
“ Is there anything else I can help you with? ”
An innocent enough question.
Such a cozy looking place. It probably didn’t help that a 6’2” beast of a man was scanning around though.
“Water.”
He wasn’t a drinker either. She might be losing tons from his appearance.
» She eyed the fish that now decorated her bar. Pretty sure that's a healthcode violation. Great, now she'd have to clean it up. If only Gil wasn't out running errands. Maybe she could wait for him to get back...
“ Jill. ”
» Still odd. It wasn't that she didn't believe in ghosts (she did) but people rarely claimed to be hunting them.
“ Well we've fairly obviously got alcohol. But most of our drinks can be made without it as well. ”

"Uh...what ya got?"
He's still trying to wring out his shirt as he looks her over. Seems like a pleasant lady. Ah, wait-
"Tatsuya. Kuze. Ghost hunter."
That's normal. He's so NORMAL.
