I’m really tickled by the Tears of the Kingdom trailer review that was clearly written by someone who didn’t play Breath of the Wild. “Our faithful hero seems to have found a horse! You can also see him being chased by a cyclops and using his trusty sky glider!”
Finally got around to watching Old and it’s just…bad. There are some interesting points but why has M. Night suddenly decided that he’s going to take cool books and change the interesting endings into eye rolling messes.
The movie theater is and always has been a sacred democratic space for all and this new initiative by @AMCTheatres would essentially penalize people for lower income and reward for higher income.
Knock at the Cabin was…fine. I was ruined by having read the book a few years back. Not every story needs to be so neatly resolved. I was also disappointed in the title change and lack of consideration given to Paul Tremblay. Bautista was a perfect casting choice for Leonard.
@saracress I totally understand that a lot of this stems from your feelings on the current state of the world, but difficult stories have always been told and will continue to be told throughout all forms of media. It’s meaningful. It’s useful. It creates conversation and change.
@saracress That’s a pretty common psychological experience. I understand that it may be triggering to you, but it doesn’t mean that consumers of that type of media are blind to the real world we live in. This type of storytelling has been around since the beginning of film.
We should at least be able to handle slightly icy weather without the state shutting down. TX lege is filled with selfish, corrupt bozos and gun weirdos.
