@jirachistan ye that is true tbh i hadnt finished the full article when i sent my first reply but i have read it thru twice now, it is very well done i think it is just Those types of performative people who will turn it into an excuse to make it about something its not
@jirachistan very very true, unfortunately i think a lot of people are blind-sighted by that. i dont think yung lean is doing it to be performative by any means - from what i know, he def did it for a good reason - but it can also come off that he is using it to be trendy or aesthetic
@jirachistan it consistently reminds me of the people that do that and act like they are making big differences when they are in fact harming the cause even more. if someone is doing something for media attention or for like, an aesthetic, ignore that part of it and focus on the REAL issues
@jirachistan i also dont disagree with the article but i think there are types of people that turn that mindset into a campaign on focusing on the people who do that instead of actually trying to make a difference (mostly the really annoying hyper democrats ykwim)
