@SheerPriya I spend so much time feeling ignored, embarrassed to not be good enough, and jealous when someone else gets credit for something you started. Eventually junior folks are unaware of your work - that hurts too. Not to mention the hits to metrics determining your career and salary.
Dr. Beth Brown was an astrophysicist at @NASAGoddard who studied black holes. Roman will honor her legacy by not only exploring black holes, but finding an especially elusive kind that wanders the galaxy without anything nearby. #BHM#CelestialSunday https://t.co/yfAkl6zMQ3
@mfeder185@aaas @CarolynBertozzi Awww, thanks @mfeder185! Giant pile of emotions about this award…thinking of all the times I totally screwed up! Thanks to the students and postdoc who worked along with me to be better.
A great day for @LISACommunity! #Astro2020 co-chair: "LISA is an incredibly exciting opportunity and NASA needs to invest appropriately to ensure that it achieves the capabilities envisioned by #Astro2010 and aggressively supports the US science community."
#astro2020 co-chair: "LISA is an incredibly exciting opportunity and NASA needs to invest appropriately to ensure that it achieves the capabilities envisioned by #Astro2010 and aggressively supports the US science community." (even if it means increasing NASA's contribution)
Comment by #Astro2020 co-chair: "LISA is an incredibly exciting opportunity..." and the survey report recommends @NASA aggressively support the US #science community to achieve the full scope of @LISAmission's capabilities. High praise!
Turning error data into science: ‘housekeeping’ data collected by the long-duration #Rosetta & #Mars Express spacecraft have provided a unique look at cosmic ray behaviour with distance from the Sun and over the course of the solar cycle. 👉https://t.co/qUKzZxz2Rl
Team Bockelmann’s plan for the 5K tomorrow: head to the Baskin-Robbins (2.6K). Get ice cream. Walk back home (2.6K). Gia is stretching by eating an ice cream sandwich now.
