MD@LearnTrek, researcher, mummy, SouthseaGal, recovering AP Head: socially liberal and fiscally irresponsible … views my own & not always that serious…
@Mr_Raichura This = fascinating & really impressive. In the sorts of settings I’ve worked in (with the specific challenges involved) most of this would probably not work well. However, I can see that it is working for your class & things are always culture/context dependent. Virtual hat tip!
@Emma_Turner75 @PrimaryHT_Mum My boy is in Yr R now and battling to engage with phonics. He’s a July baby and definitely feels like the ones who are older are way ahead. The girls are doing better at sitting still long enough to learn it while I’m having to hide flash cards in the garden to get any buy in 🤣
The UK has one of the lowest rates of maternity pay, but Kemi Badenoch thinks it's too high. Quite a surprising attitude for a woman who is definitely working class.
🙃 'The current system often leads to students and families feeling socially excluded. In order for AP to work more effectively, it must be the end destination for the student and the right one for them'

Breaking: Kevan Collins has been formally appointed to @educationgov as school standards adviser. It has also been confirmed SEND and AP policy will be moved into the schools brief at the Department. https://t.co/vJZroA4CtN
@grahamchatterl2 My background is in AP & I get all kinds of reactions - from a bit dismissive of what we do, to outright awe that we never give up on the children secondaries are often relieved to be rid of. Personally I also have no idea how EYFS and primary do it, absolute miracle workers IMO.
@ljwattsWales @JenHistoryCW11@HughesHaili Oh that’s good - maybe the small print will reveal more English grads among the cabinet! The sort of critical thinking these degrees teach is so vital and was in short supply over the previous parliament 😆
@StephenMorganMP@PompeyLabour Huge congratulations @StephenMorganMP - great news for Portsmouth South, especially now we have a great local MP in government and not just opposition. Well deserved !
Just watched the @JamesBlunt doc on #Netflix. What a nasty shit show the print media of the 2000s were. Watching those clips gives me the ick so bad. V. reassured that gen z-ers are shocked that this sort of crap was even possible.
