Texas has wandered in the desert for 13 years. Lost at least 4 games in every season. 4 different head coaches.

This was never 2005 or even 2009 Texas. The Alabama win changed expectations for a lot of people, but this is a week to week sport. You oftentimes aren’t as good as you look in the good times or as bad as you look in the bad times. The truth is in the middle, and for Texas, the middle is still good enough to win the Big 12 and compete for a playoff spot.
