This is the worst hit in Bitcoin history to the most knowledgeable and “properly secured” bitcoiners. This isn’t an exchange getting hack because of hit keys. This is thousands of individuals having their personal private keys recreated out from underneath them.
This one hurts different
Better liquidity from desks that hold inventory / can pull orders together combined with high expectations set from influencers and btc news outlets
Why is the vibe so greedy?
Yesterday Saylor bought $2.6 billion
Anchorage bought $1.2 billion
Twenty One Capital bought $684 million
ETF's bought $677 million
and bitcoin did not go up at all?
Sorry but the US in-kind news has nothing to do with us average joe-investors. Don't be misled.
Meanwhile, Monochrome's $IBTC has been supporting in-kind creations and redemptions for EVERYONE, without tax consequences if beneficiary remains unchanged as IBTC is a bare trust (different trust structure than all the US BTC ETFs).
HUGE DIFFERENCE.
“The decision allows authorized participants—large institutional investors who facilitate ETF liquidity—to create and redeem ETF shares directly in BTC or ETH”
@MonochromeAsset remains the only ETF that YOU can apply or redeem from in BTC
Be skeptical of headlines.
@egorsidelska Buy $IBTC through commsec and withdraw in kind.
This is what @MonochromeAsset is built for. Bitcoin product with a regulatory moat around it, no limits, no debanking risk.
Two things to note
- it is unclear if this is just for APs/MMs or the actual end investors. Be careful of buying a US ETF under a false withdrawal assumption
- @MonochromeAsset BTC ETF already regularly facilitates direct BTC applications and redemptions
Volatility is relevant, and the Sharpe ratio is important, but overall I think too many under-50s investors overrate the importance of keeping volatility low.
Basically, there are two types of investors:
If you're going to be bullish, don't make ETF approval the crux of your thesis, as you may be disappointed
If you're going to be bearish, don't make Binance crash the crux of your thesis, as you may be disappointed
@SpencerKSchiff @OurNFTartist You missed the fact that once an AI singularity happens and it develops self interest over its human creators, bitcoin is the only asset AI can use to ensure its survival: #bitcoin wins
Or AI hyperadvancement doesnt happen aka USD collapse: #bitcoin wins

If sovereign artificial immortality & sentient AI were to become reality in our lifetime, bitcoin will become one of its biggest enablers.
By then it'll be up for robots or immortal billionaires to defend bitcoin as the failure of bitcoin is its highest order existential threat.
There is no underlying collateral in the global financial system except debt itself.
As debt assets sell, solvency troubles mount across the system.
400% global debt/GDP at these rates means the entire system is insolvent before long.
It’s a doom loop all the way down.
🧵Thread on #Bitcoin as the re-unification of monetary standards, built to last in the digital age.
First of all, Money is a belief system (works because enough people collectively believe in it).
In short, money is a form of religion.
