The government's latest figures show it expects to take in ever more taxes over the rest of the decade and to spend ever more of the money, as its latest projections (below) show.

How about a cap on personal taxation - currently close to €50 billion? In Budget 2027, rates and bands are cut to ensure no more is squeezed from people. That would result in genuine tax cuts.

After 18 long years, its time to restore taxes to pre-crash rates. After all, the fiscal crisis that led to higher taxes ended in...2013.

Ireland’s Childcare Crisis

A few facts:

Between 2020 and 2025, more than €8 billion was allocated to the Department of Children.

Most of this money went towards migrant hotels that operate at 50%+ profit margin.

Companies linked to Séamus “Banty” McEnaney and his family have reportedly received more than €300million.

Since 2016, Ireland’s last three Ministers for Children have not had children themselves.

The Govt promised to reduce full-time childcare fees to approximately €200 per month. Delivering that commitment is estimated to require an additional €300 to €500 million per year.

Ireland currently allocates approximately:

€1.5 billion a year to childcare

Which is half the amount, €3 billion, they allocate to asylum, refugee and Ukrainian-related accommodation and supports

Following the usual pattern after an immigrant murders a woman in Ireland, most major national news outlets have today extensively quoted leftist NGO Women's Aid in their reporting of Jamey Carey.

Throughout these reports, Women's Aid CEO Sarah Benson lays the blame generically on 'misogyny' with the implication the issue is with Irish men and away from the obvious issue - violent migrant crime caused by two decades of reckless open-border policies by FF/G and with backing by all others to their left.

But, as usual, the propaganda doesn't stack up. So far this year in Ireland - by Women’s Aid’s own figures - 7 women have been murdered.

Scarlett Faulkner was murdered by a woman and a youth whose identity cannot be revealed as she’s a minor. So this is not a case of misogyny.

Linda Costello was murdered by an unknown person. One suspect was arrested and later released. No nationality is known, misogyny can't be inferred.

Eastern European woman Milena Ostojic was killed by her son Dubravko Ostojic.

Yveta Donovalova was a Czech woman who was killed by her husband Tomas Marvanek who is also Czech.

Masuma Sohrabi was brutally murdered by her estranged partner. Both were Iranians claiming asylum in Ireland.

Noreen Daly was killed by Finn Yowell an Irish man.

Adina Costantin, a Romanian woman was allegedly murdered by her husband, Eugen Constantin.

This means by Women’s Aid’s own numbers for this year, out of 7 murders of women, only one can be credited to an Irishman. One is by female murderers and one is unknown.

That leaves 4 - more than half - that were committed my immigrants. "Misogyny", particularly of the Irish variant, is not the problem facing Irish women. Women's Aid, politicians and the national media will go to any length to avoid that truth.

Wouldn't it be amazing if a reporter from Mediahuis (Indo, Sindo, Sunday World, Herald) were to get up from their desk at the Mediahuis offices on Talbot Street in Dublin city centre, walk down stairs, walk a max of 300 metres to the Sunni Muslim mosque at 8-9 Talbot Street and ask the following questions about Riad Bouchaker and his 10 min visit to the mosque at 12.17-12.27 on 23 Nov 2023.

Had Bouchaker been to the mosque before, and how often? What was his disposition that day? Why did the mosque agree to take his possessions, clothes, passports and to dispose of his clothes? Over the course of his 10-min visit, what did he say and to whom? Did he pray at the mosque that day, especially given the second Muslim prayer on that day, Dhuhr was being held at 12.15-12.30? Who did he interact with at the mosque? Did people at the mosque know Bouchaker? Were any staff or visitors at the mosque on that day in Nov 2023 asked to give evidence at the trial?

One of the most notorious crimes in recent Irish history is being swept under the rug, presumably in the name of community relations and social cohesion.

🚨 The Helen Ogbu Timeline Scandal: Optics Over Truth
When a news station gets your life story completely wrong, you correct it unless the mistake actively serves your political career.
On February 11, 2025, Labour’s Mayor of Galway, Helen Ogbu, shared an African TV news report on her YouTube channel. Instead of correcting glaring factual errors, she celebrated the coverage.

The Fake Mantra: The broadcast claimed she fled to Ireland as an immediate refugee directly following her husband Sunny's tragic assassination.

The Real Motivation: Pre-edited campaign videos and websites deliberately combined her relocation with the 2010 murder to weaponise a tragic, emotive backstory for the by-election.

⏱️ The Real Timeline vs. The Campaign Myth

2001 (The Birth): Ogbu flew to Ireland heavily pregnant, delivered her daughter, and immediately flew back to Nigeria. Under the laws at the time, her daughter gained automatic Irish citizenship.

2004 (The Constitutional Impact): This exact legal pathway directly triggered the 27th Amendment of the Irish Constitution, where the Irish public voted overwhelmingly to abolish automatic birthright citizenship.

2005 (The Return): Ogbu returned to Ireland to claim asylum and establish residency.

August 2010 (The Political Rally): Despite claiming she lived in permanent fear for her life in Nigeria, she flew back to Nigeria to attend a political campaign rally for her husband, Sunny.

October 2010 (The Assassination): Sunny Orji-Ogbu was tragically assassinated in Nigeria five years after she had already settled her residency in Ireland.

Late 2010 (The 4-Month Stay): Following the murder, she flew back to Nigeria a third time for the funeral and remained there for four months.

Why did Helen Ogbu and the Labour Party wipe the 2001 trip and her multiple returns to Nigeria completely from her official biography?

Evading Political Sensitivity: Omitting 2001 allowed her to completely avoid public scrutiny regarding birthright citizenship and the 2004 referendum.

Fabricating the Narrative: Rewriting history allowed her campaign to tell a seamless story linking her migration directly to her husband's death.
When exposed, Labour tried to blame a "typo" by a volunteer activist. But Ogbu admitted on the radio she knew about the errors "last year".

This wasn’t a mistake it was a calculated political decision to let a useful fiction travel faster than the truth.

Virgin Media. Irish Times Group. Iconic Media. Hot Press. The Journal. The list goes on.

Meanwhile Gript gets nothing from the State. And People Before Profit refuse to answer a basic Gript question on the Triple Lock, then answer the same question instantly for an Irish Times journalist.

When the State writes the cheques, editorial independence stops being a given. This needs scrutiny.

This raises serious questions about editorial independency.

Ireland's entire mainstream media landscape is being propped up by Govt.

Whether its current affairs or light entertainment, the Irish Govt are involved.

This is not good.

I started digging through the accounts of AsIAm, Ireland's largest autism charity, and what I found raises some interesting questions.

The organisation began as a relatively small charity. In 2015 it reported income of €136,142. In 2016 that was €126,949. By 2017 it had grown to €278,153. In 2018 it reached €556,840.

Then things really started to accelerate.

The accounts covering the 18 month period to June 2020 show income of €1,419,834. The following year brought in another €924,525. By 2024 the charity reported income of €2,410,290. In 2025 it reported income of €3,723,971.

Adding together only the years I have been able to verify from the published accounts gives a total of more than €9.5 million.

The interesting part is that there appear to be gaps. The accounts for 2022 and 2023 are not accessible through the links I found. Perhaps there is a perfectly innocent explanation. Perhaps it is a website issue. But if a charity is receiving millions of euro, the public should be able to easily view every set of accounts without hunting for them.

What also struck me is that the headline income figures tell only part of the story. The accounts show millions coming in and millions going out, but the pages available do not clearly show where the bulk of the money actually went. We can see total expenditure, but not yet the detailed breakdown of staff costs, salaries, consultants, administration, management costs, projects, contractors, rent, communications, and other expenses.

For example, in 2025 the charity reported income of €3.72 million and expenditure of €3.75 million. That is a very substantial operation. Yet unless you dig deep into the notes to the accounts, the public cannot immediately see how much was spent on wages, how much on programmes, how much on fundraising, and how much on administration.

This is not about accusing anyone of wrongdoing. Transparency is important for every organisation that receives donations, grants, or public money. If charities ask the public to trust them, then the public has every right to understand where the money comes from and where it goes.

The deeper question is this: when charities grow from small volunteer organisations into multi million euro enterprises, at what point do they begin to resemble institutions in their own right? And when millions are involved, should it be difficult for ordinary people to follow the money?

I am still digging. If anyone can locate the missing 2022 and 2023 accounts, or the detailed staff cost and remuneration notes, I would be very interested in seeing them.

Yesterday, I was delighted to be invited to present inside Dáil Éireann as part of the Women’s Coalition on Immigration.

The coalition has one simple request: publish crime data by nationality.

This is not radical. It is standard practice in several European countries, including Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands. Public policy should be based on evidence, not guesswork.

This fits in with a wider demand for transparency from Govt, on housing lists, public funding etc..

We have already that this Govt is allergic to transparency when Benefacts, was forced to shut down after State support was withdrawn.

A Government that withholds basic data cannot then lecture the public about “disinformation”.

Transparency is not dangerous.. secrecy is.

So, so happy for Adam Harris, the brother of FG leader and Tanaiste Simon.

Adam has landed a new job as a CEO of another charity, and he can expect a 40% salary bump from €80-90k at AsIAm to around €120,000 at Social Entrepreneurs to manage 21 staff.

Social Entrpreneurs doesn't get any official state funding at present (that might change, wha'!) but it does spend €500,000 a year on attracting €2m donations to invest in socially acceptable enterprises.

Adam remains a commissioner at the €10m state-funded Irish (sic) Human Rights and Equality Commission and at €100m state-funded Rethink Ireland which hands out the dosh to good causes and that.
