@BlossomFGC i’m excited to learn! considering picking up a HORI stick for my PS2. i’ve heard about hand fatigue with stick and some folks have recommended me leverless to avoid this… but it seems a bit odd control-wise to wrap my head around lol
i’m really into fighting games but didn’t play very seriously until last year. now i’m considering learning stick and competing at locals but not sure where to start… lol
@BlossomFGC i’m really interested:
- vampire savior
- marvel vs capcom 2
- street fighter III: 3rd strike
- tekken 5 & 8
i’m planning to learn on PS2 since the older sticks are cheaper!!
@cutehaglauren yeah, i grew up playing tekken 3-5 around my uncles and dad’s friends so i have an unc mentality by default 😂. i’ve been hearing a lot about leverless lately, folks say the inputs are quicker and more precise. but the lack of stick feels alien to me lol
@cutehaglauren i definitely do suffer from imposter syndrome when it comes to the fgc. it feels like there’s always a “correct” way of playing. i like to improve so i’m always seeking out the next step but sometimes that just looks like dogma lol
because of my job i have limited time to play tekken anymore, but last night i reached tekken god supreme… only a rank away from god! let’s gooo #Tekken8
@fortuneemokpae2 for me it took memorizing knowledge checks and flow charts of majority of the cast. you’d be surprised how many players can’t adapt because of how far certain buttons will allow you to climb. stick to fundamentals and you’ll be ok!
@__Exige__@IzunaDrop66 yeah… i find that on pad i’m not as precise as i used to be when i played stick at the arcade. i play tekken 8 mostly and can’t even electric consistently with the dualsense… i find the pad is a bit sticky, (for lack of better term) so i’m open to trying different systems!
@SilentJohnX@IzunaDrop66 i think i’ll still buy a stick but play with pad for now… because honestly the stick would be awesome for playing schmups at home too!!
