@Axolotlxzx@Shittyshepphard@deerlyloved_ understandable, but sometimes leaving them be is often best, unless of course u see a wild animal on verge of death then obviously call an animal rescue that can help them professionally and release them after if possible.
@BIRD97947541@deerlyloved_ any conservation sites who respect their animals wouldn't allow you to get this close to an unpredictable wild animal like a hyeena... not unless they drug it, which other comments have said it was drugged
@BobJohn10194726@KitYeena@snacksHyena the worst life imaginable, used as a 'hey furries look what i have hehe' display. They aren't pets, they need to be in the wild, and if you cared for animals you'd also see this as awful. Its not fair on the hyena
@BobJohn10194726@KitYeena@snacksHyena hyenas are very sociable wild animals, they need to be with a pack and in the wild, if theyre non releasable they need to be in a sanctuary with other hyenas being cared for by trained animal staff. Keeping a hyena as a pet in a small garden is quite literally giving him
@izutsumireal@deerlyloved_ it applies to most if not all wild animals, they aren't pets and its not fair on them to keep them as one. Same goes for foxes, monkeys, wolfs, even wolfdogs because theyve bred the wild counterpart of a dog back into them.Being uneducated is fine, we can always learn new things.
@Axolotlxzx@Shittyshepphard@deerlyloved_ thats just how nature is and we shouldnt intervene
and yes they can socialise with humans if born in captivity and raised with them, they may gain a strong bond with their owner but theyre still a wild animal and are unpredictable. Domestication takes thousands of years
