Democrats want to eliminate fossil fuels. Someone please explain to me how voting for Democrats in the midterms will bring down gas prices at the pump.
If you’re concerned about high gas prices, shouldn’t you be asking which party has policies that will make energy more affordable in the long run?
Much of the current increase in gas prices is being attributed to the war involving Iran and the uncertainty it has created in global oil markets. If that’s the case, then a resolution to the conflict could ease supply concerns and help bring prices down. Why would we support policies that deliberately restrict domestic oil and gas production when we know that supply plays a critical role in determining energy prices?
Have we already forgotten the Green New Deal and the broader Democratic push to transition away from fossil fuels? How does deliberately moving away from an energy source that still powers much of our economy translate into cheaper gasoline for American families?
At least Trump supports expanding domestic oil and gas production. Increasing supply can help put downward pressure on prices over the long term, provided demand, production costs, and global market conditions cooperate.
It’s mind-boggling to me that people who are genuinely worried about the cost of gasoline would vote for a party whose energy agenda seeks to move the country away from fossil fuels without adequately explaining how that transition will keep gas affordable in the meantime.
If lower gas prices are your priority, don’t just listen to campaign promises. Look at each party’s energy policies and ask one simple question: Which approach is more likely to keep energy abundant, reliable, and affordable for American families?
How is it possible for Caitlin not to appear on 19 ballots if you’re actually evaluating the actual value of a player to their team or the league? She’s not only the white player in the league but the only significant draw in the league. Why except for her basketball skills?
She’s the only player besides A’ja who’s top 3 in any significant stat.
The 2026 WNBA MVP was decided by a national panel of 74 sportswriters and broadcasters selected by the league. Each voter ranked five players, with points awarded as 10 for first place, 7 for second, 5 for third, 3 for fourth, and 1 for fifth.
The league does not publish a full public roster of the individual voters. Some media members voluntarily release their own ballots for transparency; one example is CBS Sports writer Jack Maloney, who ranked A’ja Wilson first, Olivia Miles second, and Kelsey Mitchell third.
Voting occurred at the end of the regular season. Official results showed A’ja Wilson with 65 of the 74 first-place votes, while Caitlin Clark appeared on 55 ballots and was left off 19.
It’s people like you who make online discourse toxic. When you lack the ability to persuade, you resort to the race card to shut down debate. You’ll never be able to judge people by the content of their character when all you see is race and racism.
Basketball in the United States is overwhelmingly dominated by Black men and women, yet when you listen to people like you, you’d think we were living in the 1920s.
Thank God that way of thinking is shrinking by the day.
Imagine me having a conversation with a house nigga like you. "Stop callin my fwiends wacist becuh they don'ts side with you"
You wouldn't acknowledge evidence if it made one of ya own people whip you across the back and told you yo name is Kunta Kinte, mf.
Like you suggested in your first quote tweet.. WE ARE NOT FROM THE SAME COUNTRY, we just skinfolk
If you’re going to call other people names, provide some evidence. Not everyone who disagrees with you is racist. You’re yet to provide any evidence that half of CC fans are racists.
No, nigga. We do not live in the same country. You're a self-professed Caitlin Clark fan, so I know what time it is with you already. You would NEVER see any evidence of that.
Sometimes when you read things like the below statement you wonder if you’re all living in the same country. Are there racists? Yes, but are they half of her fans, there’s absolutely no evidence of that.
Caitlin Clark's dilemma is that if she condemns the racists who use her whiteness as a weapon of hatred against the many Black WNBA players, she would be condemning probably half the people who make her the popular phenom that she is.
So she will never spit in their face like we all wish she would. She's a superstar navigating a spiteful and hateful out of control fan culture that she didn't deserve to be made the face of. And those racists will never relent because they do not actually care about Caitlin and they loathe the predominantly Black WNBA for its refusal to bow down to whiteness.
Sick people.
Caitlin Clark on Stephanie White:
"I really appreciate Steph ... I like to say this is the best job in women's basketball, and possibly sports ... but at the same time ... it can come with some negatives."
Clark said that White has had her back and thankful for the time she's given. Says that when people don't always live up to expectations, it's not always on the coaching staff. Other things have to be evaluated.
Sports is entertainment. If it entertains, people watch. If it doesn’t, few or nobody’s watching.
CC plays entertaining basketball. You never know when she’s going to pull from the parking lot for a three, hit AB on a PNR, find KM cutting to the basket, or drop a dime to Sophie.
That unpredictability is what makes her special. She can give you a two point game or a 40 point game. She’s flashy, plays with emotion, and brings a certain personality to the game….not robotic like some other stars.
That’s part of what makes watching her so much fun.
Winning is not necessarily everything in a team sport but individual contributions always matter. There are many players with four or five rings but no one knows who they are. The whole basketball world knows who CC is. Even her detractors and critics love watching her play basketball.
@realPrestonHill Yeah, with a historically unpopular president during a midterm election when everything is more expensive because of said president, you gotta be bullish about the GOP's chances
None of these states will flip. Do not buy what these posters are selling. They will have an excuse again on Election Day. I’m just not seeing many people who voted for Trump in 2024 voting democrats.
Hard to see farmers who voted for Trump in 2024 suddenly voting for Democrats in 2026.
Do you really think these farmers believe what the Democrats are selling? How exactly are Democrats going to reduce the price of fuel?
Through the Green New Deal? By banning fracking or making it harder for American oil and gas companies to produce?
And how are they going to bring down grocery prices while Trump is still President?
I have a hard time believing some of these polls; especially polls showing Democrats competitive in districts that Trump won in 2024.
That doesn’t mean voters can’t change their minds, but there’s a big difference between being unhappy with the economy and actually switching parties. Rural voters still lean heavily Republican, even though economic frustration is clearly creating some problems for the GOP.
So I’d be cautious about assuming that a poll showing Democrats ahead in a Trump won district automatically translates into Democrats actually winning that district in November.
How can Natalie Nakasa have her team playing defense but Stephanie white cannot? She has 3 WNBA all star starters but the team’s out in the first round of the playoffs?
Fever’s problem is not necessarily the players. It’s coaching and the Front office. I think the Fever should run CC, AB, KM, Lexie, Sophie, KK and some front court and wing help one more time.
I love a logical mind. And I love Kelz like most ppl but none of the teams still in the playoffs making a run for the 🏆 have the same offensive firepower the Fever did at the 1 & 2. But they all have something else in common.
I say let em keep thinking it all falls apart tho.😂
As a CC fan, I’m not offended when critics say she’s not won anything. I want her to see it and use it as fuel to get better and also to let her realize she must also influence and be instrumental in choosing the type of players and coaches she needs on her team to win a championship.
Imagine posting CC supposedly not winning anything knowing she will be the only female athlete in history to be a billionaire.
She has won more than any of these keyboard warriors ever did in their life a thousand times over.
Kelsey’s brother in law🤡😉🤦♂️😂 posting here I see.
Bro putting this up when Kelsey is the biggest loser in Fever history is funny.
All time worst record as a Fever player is Kelsey Mitchell.
Smoke that!
They love bringing up Kelsey’s record from the those early Fever years with no team around her…
But then straight up ignore LAST season when she almost went to the WNBA Finals & won the Commissioners Cup & was 1st team ALL WNBA.
Make it make sense lol.
Agree with this take. CC will get more catch and shoot opportunities if she had a shooting guard who has her head up with the basketball in her hands more often.
CC being off the ball hasn’t been efficient because, in most cases, the ball never gets back to her. It’s not that she lacks the skill but the coach isn’t asking her to do so. Honestly, the Fever may need a new coach or Stephanie needs to build the team around CC and forget about AB the hub whatever she calls KM.
Everyone plays well CC is in charge.
This is good news.
I do like Kelsey. But she's a detriment to Caitlin Clark, personally, on the floor - particularly with Stephanie White as the head coach, trying to focus the offense on Mitchell - this is clearly detrimental to Caitlin.
Sadly, despite Clark feeding Mitchell for endless easy buckets, she never learned to look for Clark back - multiple times every game she fails to hit a wide-open CC.
I wish her luck in her new home!
Do you really believe if they could sell 8,000 more tickets, they wouldn’t because of an upcoming event? Why have journalists chosen to take sides or be part of a story?
Why can’t you just be straight and question every narrative especially when that narrative is coming from those in authority?
No reasonable person believes what you’re reporting if you do not have the upcoming event mentioned and,at a minimum, an on-the-record interview with stadium and team authorities with verifiable evidence.
Just because you say so on X doesn’t make it true. But you already know that but careless.
Only a fool would trade CC. People who can afford to own a team are no fools. CC only leaves INDY if she wants to.
I would take Carli (theFrench girl from the fire) Megan and a 1st round draft pick for Kelsey. I know she’s a URFA but if we can get that kind of caliber of players, love Kels, but she can go if that’s what she wants.
It's looking like Kelsey Mitchell & Caitlin Clark won't be on the same team next year...
My bet is on Kelsey being the one that is on the Fever in 2027...
@DBGyt_ KM is going to LA, that's my guess. Its the only place she can go and maybe still be the focus of the offense and have the chance (maybe) of winning enough games to remain in the spotlight / MVP consideration.
