@adiramizrahi@GreeceMFA@CyprusMFA@ThsShambos@SecRubio There is nothing antisemitic about our statement. So, spare us all the politically motivated bs. We, Greeks, know very well what it means to be discriminated and persecuted, dhimmitude under the Arabs and Ottomans, as well as the Ottoman Greek Genocide have taught us well.

To Greeks around the world:
Emperor Justinian gave the Christian world Hagia Sophia, one of the greatest monuments of Byzantine civilization. According to ancient Christian tradition, he also founded the Monastery of Our Lady of Saydnaya in Syria.
We lost Hagia Sophia.
Now, Saydnaya — her sister in the East — is facing intimidation, isolation, and growing pressure.
This monastery is not only Syrian. It is part of the living Byzantine and Orthodox heritage that unites Syria, Greece, and Eastern Christians.
Do not let Saydnaya stand alone.
Save Saydnaya.
Raise your voice.
In Saydnaya, sectarian mobs reportedly removed tiles from the city council area and threatened Christians with the words:
“We will uproot you from Saydnaya just like these tiles.”
This is not a small act of vandalism. It is a message of intimidation against one of Syria’s oldest Christian towns.
Saydnaya must not be left alone.
Save Saydnaya.
@franzkaftah@stefanivision Arabs invaded and colonized North Africa, the Levant, and Mesopotamia. Anyone with the most basic knowledge of Middle Eastern history knows this.
