@Jetflight1017@MattGunner32@josemorgado all 3 are around 150, at career high rankings and can be expected to improve. I agree non likely to ever make it top 20 but still a decent case for giving them a prod to crack top 100
@MattGunner32@Jetflight1017@josemorgado exactly yeah. there are only so many wildcards. Evo had plenty of help from the LTA /being part of the british tennis setup over the years
@geoffbanksbet Wouldn’t be so bad if it was just careless and not biased, but I’m currently on 4 notable round downs and 0 the other way so not inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt
@geoffbanksbet appear to use a 2 decimal places odds ladder, and are typing in the prices manually without much care. Settling 8/11 as 1.72 in one example
So after having to chase them to resettle in the first place, I’m getting paid like 0.4% below correct value for my trouble (2/2)
@geoffbanksbet Separately (in case you think that was a freak one off), I've had another CS agent **Void** Arsenal on a different slip. So a combo of
- refusal to resettle market centrally
-mega human error on CS side
leads to systematic underpayment unless punter checks everything
@geoffbanksbet I know how bad Paddy are so manually check every payout amount. But this is totally unreasonable for the representative punter, especially with more complicated systems
@AKBets@naismiths90@tony_calvin Right yeah this is the crux. Loss Prevention has become a thing and since then they have just pushed and pushed to make things more and more frustrating for players. An laundry list here of which I've had deal with many myself
@DingforDoor@B_Coombes For all you know I have 100+ affected bets, all requiring 10 mins (on the safe side). I don’t think you realise the scale of what they are up to.
Errors happen and that’s no problem. However, this is structural and something they get away with because no regulator oversight
@DingforDoor@B_Coombes By stew i just mean that my time is being wasted. I think when a bet is struck the expectation is you should be able to get it paid without hassle.
Tickets lock for all types of reasons — who decided this? Why is it given that books can delay paying out as and when
@scruffybushrat Retail <something> department I am guessing.
I believe customer isn’t supposed to see that message (usually you get “Ticket Locked!”), whoever locked it cocked up somewhere
@DingforDoor@B_Coombes They do pay eg by going to counter. But the asymmetry of loss prevention guy locking a bet at the click of a button and then me stewing at the counter for 15 mins is a very bad system (and unfair)
@djbradshaw64 Was settled as a loser weeks ago. There isn’t any basis I can see, just a bizarre mistake. It does get resettled if you use live chat but again, you have to go slip by slip
Bookies get a constant hiding on here, but I really can’t overstate how disgraceful Paddy Powers settlement of shop sports bets has been. If the regulator had any teeth at all, they would be looking at some truly enormous fines
@alandelmonte You'd think after 100+ years of pens being a thing we'd come up with a better solution than foul in the box = 80% chance of scoring a goal. Pens dictate far too many results, whether correctly given or not
