Green Menu is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to ease hunger and promote human and environmental health through plant-based diets.
A new year for us means 365 new opportunities to help make the differences we want to see in the world. After all, the future is not simply something that we enter but something that we create, and we all have the power to build a better future. #NewYear2021#plantbased
Our mission is to ease hunger and promote human and environmental health through plant-based diets. In keeping with this we donated nearly 600 pounds of vegan burger patties to The Hollywood Food Coalition who have been serving the homeless and hungry every day since 1987.
Thank you to the good people @FoothillUnity for the food, temporary shelter, transportation, and a variety of health services they provide for low-income and homeless people in the San Gabriel Valley.
With the pandemic, extreme heat, and wildfires all happening simultaneously, these could be considered trying times for anyone. But, at greatest risk are those who are unhoused right now, especially at the foothills closest to the fires.
In response to what is happening in our own backyard, our volunteers prepared & donated 100 plant-based meals for our friends at the Foothill Unity Center who provide food, temporary shelter, transportation, and a variety of health services for low-income and homeless people.
To show our support and appreciation on this #LaborDay and #Meatless Monday, Green Menu has donated 100 plant-based meals to our good friends at Ramona Nursing and Rehabilitation and Alhambra Police Department.
Labor Day is our annual tribute to the workers who have contributed to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country, most notably our frontline workers have been making extreme sacrifices to take care of our communities during these challenging times.
This #MeatlessMonday Green Menu moved one step closer to food security and better health for all by donating 500 pounds of the amount of vegan food to our good friends at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fullerton who run a Food Assistance Program to feed those in need.
Today there are roughly 795 million undernourished people in the world, which translates to one in nine people not getting enough food to be healthy and lead an active life. Among those living in poverty, many are spending 70% β 80% of their daily income on food.
As a non-profit, Green Menuβs primary focus is on feeding the hungry while promoting plant-based diets which feeds more people but also creates a healthier and more sustainable planet for us to live on.
2020 has also brought a lot of positive changes, such as people becoming more conscious about how our eating habits affect the world around us. But for many who want to be part of this positive change, accessibility to healthier alternatives is a real challenge.
To celebrate the positive changes happening in our food choices and in recognition of #MeatlessMonday, we donated nearly 500lbs of vegan food items to our friends @ShepherdsPantry Pantry who will, in turn, make sure these healthier alternatives get to people most in need.
