A 29 year old black woman was lynched in my city named Tasia Fortune and we want answers! How does something like this continue to happen? this isnโt even 1 mile away from my neighborhood. Justice for Tasia Fortune she didnโt deserve this.

@kamsspice @K31SH1N orientalism simply refers to the fetishism and epistemological knowledge productions that exist to โOtherโ entire peoples and cultures from the Occident/The West. Africa is undoubtedly included in that
A very dangerous new nightmare we are living in Gaza City, and no one in the world is paying attention to it.
Days ago, the Israeli army installed huge military cranes, each about 30 meters tall, on the eastern areas it controls. These cranes are equipped with machine guns and cameras, and they fire randomly and almost continuously at tents, streets, and exposed neighborhoods.
Gaza City is extremely narrow, only 10 kilometers wide. A single crane at that height is enough to expose the entire city from east to west. Every street, every square, every tent, every house has become completely exposed. There is no place to hide, and not a single moment of safety.
In just the past two days, three people were killed by fire from these cranes. One of them was sitting quietly with his father in a small cafรฉ, trying to breathe for a few minutes. Hours later, a 5year old girl was killed while playing near her home.
These cranes have turned the entire city into an open field. The latest military technologies are directed at civilians. We have become an open testing ground for their new weapons. The horror is not just in the soundโฆ it is the constant feeling of being an exposed target at all times, where even children cannot run in the street without fear.
Watching the world lose its mind over the Knicks and the World Cup while Palestine is being destroyed and genocided in real time honestly infuriates me.
And before anyone says โsports bring people together,โ I know. That's exactly the point. We clearly know how to care. We clearly know how to show up. We clearly know how to unite when we want to. So why is it easier for millions of people to memorize stats, argue over games, and spend hours watching a match than it is to speak up when human beings are being genocided in plain sight?
This feels like the Hunger Games, wallah. The privileged get to sit comfortably, drink a coke, eat a hotdog, cheer, celebrate, and move on, while other people in Palestine, Sudan, Lebanon, Yemen, Congo, Iran and more are searching for food, living in tents that flood, and fighting for their peoples liberation.
@tannedjoongi itโs most likely for the convenience of the English speaking audience but story wise I like to think its because of Gabrielle aversion to speaking French but her husband and children refusing to speak Italian so they all speak English as an annoying middle ground

While I understand that the tonal shift between Louisโs seasons and Lestats is 1000% necessary and so well done and incredible to watchโ how I miss Louisโs language and narration and the soft subtle designs of the first two seasons, IWTV u r loved
I've always told people in Texas that California's progressive reputation is undeserved. Its liberal politicians are expert at paying lip service to identity issues, but its a state ruthlessly run, top-to-bottom, by real estate, tech, and finance capital
