@Stu1701 Back when we still had the Foundry, old ESD was one of the assets we had access to. We ended up using it for a community collab project and called the Alliance Exploration Initiative. It was renamed Starbase Magellan and served as the gateway to exploring the Beta Quadrant.
@Stu1701 Just looking at the console, it does seem like they wanted this to be a torp boat, so that's a disappointing implementation. The console being proton based has my interest. Sounds kind of like a proton shotgun.

@LootCritter The epic token is reclaimable once per character from the event reclaim. The torpedo being non-upgradable is a bug, as the description says otherwise.

The more I think about it, the more I question: could AI replace the CEO of a company? In pursuing AI so relentlessly, are company leaders effectively training their replacements?
At least for me, the ungainliness of those original ships only added to the idea that they were ship built on technology poorly understood. Which made them something of an enigma. Only now, long after the original conflict, is the ship's true potential able to be unlocked.
Still have a character who flies the T5 Dyson ship. In my head canon, the original Dyson ships were created during the Voth conflict when the Alliance took control of an automated Solanae shipyards. After imputing Alliance ship specs, the Dyson ships were the result.
