If the government were serious about home learning during lockdown, they would have hired strings of experts in our fields - writers, scientists, historians, geographers etc and got us to talk directly on zoom to different ages of students for 20-30 minute chunks.

They have been encouraged in that by DfE messaging this week; however, under union pressure, the DfE has now been forced to revise its guidance.

The DfE now says: Critical worker parents and caters should keep their children at home if they can.

I’m hearing from people, who COULD work from home, being told by their boss that they MUST tell their child’s school that they are a critical worker

These employers are behaving irresponsibly in the face of the huge numbers of Covid cases.
