Brilliant, brilliant exposé by Alex Thomson @alextomo on @Channel4News last night, blowing the lid of the corrupt, and it is corruption of the @EnvAgency allowing water companies to walk away from criminal charges, jail time, unlimited fines and all for nothing more than a slap on the wrist and some blood money paid to local charities.
It's time to put an end to this nonsense, it's time to hold people to account, it's time to send the fat cats to jail.

After recent comments from local Green Party candidates and activists @alistrathern and I have written to @ZackPolanski
Party policy disagreements aside, antisemitism must not be tolerated in any form, and all parties are responsible for taking action to stamp it out.

“That is the most antisemitic thing anybody can say.”
“Not really.”
An Israel supporter confronted Green party candidate Philip Notley after he said “Israel shouldn’t exist”. Notley was asked where all the Jews in Israel should go, to which he said “they can stay there” but the country “should be Palestine”.
On Novara Live, @michaeljswalker argues that “your opinions on the constitutional arrangements of another country do not have an impact on whether or not you’re a bigot”.
Co-host @AaronBastani added: “She’s basically saying if you don’t want an apartheid state… you’re the racist.”

NEW🚨: The Green Party has issued a statement about Philip Notley it says
“The North Herts & Stevenage Green Party is categorically against racism and antisemitism in any form, and we take any allegations seriously.
As such, we've referred a video of Philip Notley that has been circulating online to the Green Party's disciplinary process for urgent investigation.
We also want to make clear that Philip will not be campaigning on our behalf while the investigation is underway.
In regards to Israel & Palestine, we want to make clear the views portrayed in the video do not represent Green Party policy. Our party policy (Israel & Palestine, IP601) is that a fair choice needs to be made and accepted by both Israelis and Palestinians for their common future in the region. The Green Party supports calls for mutual recognition of the rights of independent statehood and for recognised, agreed and secure borders for Palestinians and Israelis.
We will continue to take the situation seriously by working closely with the Jewish and Muslim Greens groups on receiving immediate guidance on anti-racism including anti-Semitism for all of our candidates as well as training for our members in the near future.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [email protected]”

We are in a very bad place if our Govt doesn't understand that the ecosystem that maintains *all* life is under threat. And we have to do what we can to protect it.
The Times has published a rabidly antisemitic caricature of Jewish Green Party leader @ZackPolanski
Same racist style as cartoons of Jews in the Nazi paper Der Sturmer
Have the press regulator, Culture Secretary & Jewish organisations denounced this antisemitism?
