Visions for Advanced Air Mobility see the greater use of airspace for everyday transport, from delivery drones to air taxis.
But what do the public think? Researchers explore the best ways to inform communities and get their views on new technologies.

In a new paper, we ask “Can rail reduce British aviation emissions?” https://t.co/HEKlvw18Tt We find that 44% of UK international flights could have a rail alternative now or in the future, but that only covers 14% of emissions.
Our research team has spent the day crunching the results to make the most accurate possible model of how the 2024 parliament would have looked with a proportional voting system. https://t.co/ZHWfrEBHw5
Great to march with so many nature lovers at #RestoreNatureNow protest in London today! Our big old dirty can of @johnwest_uk tuna, mounted on an old @Asda shopping trolley, helped raise awareness on the harmful effects of industrial #tuna fisheries to a receptive public! 🦈🐟🎣
I have complained to the BBC, please join me, and will take it to OFCOM. BBC did the same by ignoring the 40,000 people at the climate weekend a couple of years ago, yet they reported on a march of about 100 people demonstrating against ULEZ
As others have said, cornflower thrown at an ancient monument makes the news, with lots of pearl clutching, but this huge peaceful march by hundreds of thousands of people who know we are killing Nature gets almost no coverage.
No wonder Govts won't listen to eco common sense.
Save the largest known rare bat colony! 🦇The Norwich Western Link Road would be disastrous for Norfolk’s wildlife. Nature’s recovery must be a priority, not further destruction. Support nature and @NorfolkWT
DELIGHTED to announce I'll be joining @jeremyclarkson and @nigel_farage for a series of summer 2025 fly/cruise tours of the Caribbean ! First time flyers get a discount , but hurry , offer runs out at 11.59pm tonight https://t.co/KlrCzBNlOf
How Britain’s oldest animal welfare charity became a byword for cruelty on an industrial scale.
My column on @RSPCA_official's astonishing betrayal of its principles. It now does more, in my view, to promote animal cruelty than to prevent it. Plus bonus🧵https://t.co/H9h2INq8vn
And it's also horrendously painful to have lost someone due to the actions of a law-breaking driver and hear society continually label their death an accident.
My brother was killed by a driver doing 93mph on a residential road, who left the scene. Not an accident.
It was Welsh Tories who also led the call for a default 20mph limit for Welsh towns and villages. Here is their environment spokesperson speaking at the 2018 20's Plenty conference in Cardiff. See https://t.co/1ikaMzwXIa
I believe soon we will all be as shocked by sea temperature rise as we are now about sewage in rivers.
@TheGreenParty believes we must protect our seas - for biodiversity, food & our shield that soaks up greenhouse gases.

I have no problems with a law on death by dangerous cycling – everyone must obey the rules of the road.
But in 2022, 1760+ people were killed on UK roads – 3 involved someone being hit by a bike.
What’s the gov plan for stopping 5 people being killed a day by motor vehicles?
This is something I think about a lot.
I spend FAR less time shuttling my kids around bc everything we need is very close to our home (daycare, school, groceries, library, doctor, etc).
As the kids get older, they’ll be able to walk, bike & take transit solo.

Really pleased to announce a big new @EPSRC funded programme grant exploring what a city where you dont need to own a car would look like. The answers will be reached through co-design with people, freight, business, providers... More info available here https://t.co/D7kCFnxfL9
This was a very serious question about a senior UK politician getting death threats through groups set up and promoted by Tory staffers. The PM didn't even bother to give it a proper response. He pledged to stand up to extremists - but apparently not if they're in his own party.
@CantEverDie @ricardoautobahn I was all for 15-minute cities until I realised we'd all be attached to the centre by little chains like they have on pens in banks, which stop us walking further than 15 minutes away. Now I'm dead against it. Imagine how tangled we'd all get! We'd end up like a drunk's maypole.
