life’s too short not to do the things you love, make yourself happy- everything else will take care of itself. Most importantly cherish every moment with your family because you never know when it’s going to be gone, heartbreaking lessons learnt today on the ward💔👩🏽⚕️
I never truest realised the amount of trauma I have witnessed in my job at such a young age, things people would in there life time, it’s almost no wonder why I feel numb these days, with 0 support. And yet I still wonder why there are very little nurses left
2. Nurses are top bants & impressively tough.
I can’t fathom what keeps them going.
They cardiovert you, intubate, perform CPR, administer IV meds, yet paid literal peanuts.
I’ve seen some patients treat them terribly (& then switch to best behaviour when the doc walks in).
Period, flu vaccine and covid booster and middle of nights✅ thought nothing else could be worse expect I’ve sent a parcel to the old flat address - fuck my life
4/7 relatives of my patients relatives rude as fuck today - don’t really understand why any frustration is aimed at nurses when 0 of it is our fault Jesus Christ
You’d think by now I’d know what to say to patients family when there relative dies, but 5am telling a relative to ‘take there time and enjoy’ proved I’m the most awkward bumbling idiot who just needs the world to swallow me up🙃 how? Why? Shoot me x
