Dosbarth Glas had the best time on our trip to Ystrad today. We visited the library, explored what is on the high street, bought lunch and ate it in the park (with an ice cream) Diolch @YstradMynachLib for our story session!

Our VE Day celebrations at Greenhill! We thoroughly enjoyed our picnic and celebrations in the field on such a beautiful, sunny afternoon. We have taken part in some tasks based around VE Day and have watched lots of interesting videos! @EAS_Humanities

This week, we have read the book, ‘The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch’ and have taken part in a role play task. We played the parts of each character and took our roles very seriously. We have superb actors in Dosbarth Melyn. @EAS_LLCEnglish

Dosbarth Melyn enjoying the provision for our new topic, ‘The Seaside’. We have made sandcastles, searched for seaside animals and played a game of beach ball. We are looking forward to more seaside fun next week. @EAS_LLCEnglish @sewalesEAS

First forest school club was successful 😇 We managed to create a cornered off area dedicated to a log circle and teepee ⛺️. It is not fully completed yet so keep your eyes peeled for a picture of the finished area 🪵 🌿 We celebrated our hard work with an ice lolly ☀️💧

Dosbarth Glas have had so much fun this week building bird feeders using the saw and glue gun. Today we put them outside with different food in and tomorrow we will see which food they liked the most!

Dosbarth Indigo today performed our class assembly "The Story of Coal: Life in a South Wales Mining Community" to our families & friends. We shared our learning about the historical, geographical and cultural impacts of the coal industry and celebrated our cynefin! Da dawn, pawb.

Our Yr5/6 pupils took part in a cluster Duathlon yesterday with @sport_leisure and Triathlon Cymru! We had a fantastic time. Diolch!

Dosbarth Melyn have loved learning about transport and jobs. We made a passport, received a boarding pass and went on a pretend plane! Today we have had a visit from 2 pilots from Tui at Cardiff airport. It was an incredible experience. Diolch @TUIUK @Cardiff_Airport

Last week, Dosbarth Glas learnt how to read a recipe in Welsh. We then made our own Welsh cakes following the Welsh recipe and put an iMovie together. Finally we taste tested them! Dw i'n hoffi cachen Cymraeg siocled achos maen fflasus! Da iawn pawb!
