In Islam, there is a strong emphasis on showing mercy and kindness to all living beings, whether human or animal. Even a small act of kindness, like feeding a bird or providing water to an animal, is highly rewarded in the sight of Allah.

Islam teaches us to adopt a lifestyle which gives us a responsibility to be environmental stewards of the Earth, as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said “Do not waste water, even if performing ablution on the banks of a fast-flowing river.” [Sunan Ibn Majah, 3349]
Biodiversiy is declining, yet we have limited knowledge about how that affects human well-being. My work linking bats, insecticide use, and human infant health is out today in Science (https://t.co/gNIbWRdqEj), and tells a complex story about how those are connected.
The severity of climate breakdown we are in astounds me more and more with each passing year.
I monitor this park's ecosystem like a hawk, and while it looks stellar, it's hurting.
The world's 6th mass extinction event is underway. But for the first time ever, it is by choice.

"Safeguard the earth, for it is your mother...”
- Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
(Nahj-al-Fasahah)
In his timeless wisdom, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us to protect the Earth as if it is our mother. We must treat it gently, respect its natural balance and keep it free from pollution.
Improperly disposed of plastic can release harmful chemicals into the soil and water, contaminating them and endangering human health. It also causes significant damage to our oceans and water bodies, harming aquatic life and causing the deaths of numerous marine animals.
Did you know?
While 15% of the total global plastic waste is collected for recycling, only 9% of the collected plastic is actually recycled.
Shockingly, 91% of it is either left uncollected, incinerated, or dumped in landfills.

Hadith of the day:
“Safeguard the Earth, for it is your mother who will report (to God) the good or evil anyone does on it.”
