Concerned about the ongoing biomedical waste crisis in Arunachal Pradesh. Despite the increasing generation of BMW waste daily, there appears to be no effective ground level action taken by the Health Department.

Merely forwarding letters will not resolve this serious public health and environmental issue. We urge the @CPCB_OFFICIAL Delhi, to kindly conduct an on site visit and take necessary strict action.

Immediate intervention is crucial to safeguard the health and well being of our people.

The volume of #biomedicalwaste #BMW being generated is increasing significantly with ongoing development and the rising number of patients. However, there appears to be a concerning lack of effective and structured waste management solutions in place.

At present, even general waste disposal areas are overwhelmed. Previously, biomedical waste was improperly mixed with general waste, and now these sites have reached full capacity, leaving no space even for routine disposal. This raises a critical question: who is taking responsibility for the safe and regulated management of biomedical waste?

Biomedical waste is governed by strict guidelines and mandates that require careful handling, segregation, treatment, and disposal. Any negligence in this regard poses serious risks to public health, sanitation, and the environment.

In this context, the silence and inaction of the concerned authorities are deeply troubling. Where is the @CPCB_OFFICIAL Central Pollution Control Board ? Where is the @MoHFW_INDIA #HealthDepartmentArunachalPradesh ? Where is the #AirPollutionControlBoardPapuNallah, Naharlagun? Where are the #environmental and #forestprotection authorities?

There is an urgent need for accountability, immediate intervention, and the implementation of sustainable waste management systems before the situation escalates further.
