The connection between #plastic & our health is clear: plastic poisons people. We need strong legislation that prioritizes PEOPLE—not profits—in the #PlasticsTreaty!

I loved Bunyan. His obituary says “His students valued his mentorship…sense of justice and ethics, vision and kindness.” I am honored to have been one of the many he mentored. https://t.co/86wbK17rV1
Getting honored tonight by the San Francisco Firefighters Cancer Prevention Foundation. Please join me in supporting their important work. https://t.co/NnoEV25rGO
“Limiting plastic use would of course be beneficial. Many may also wish to hold plastic producers accountable; the plastic industry can and should be encouraged to provide funding for mitigation.” @BoyanSlat asks the plastics sector for a donation! https://t.co/OfIb3Z6Ozq
If I were doing PR for the oil and gas, petrochemical and plastics sectors, I’d love @BoyanSlat ‘s message that we should all pitch in to clean up their toxic trash from waters instead of reducing plastic consumption & holding manufacturers responsible. https://t.co/OfIb3Z6Ozq
Thinking about an EV? The oil and gas sector intends to replace your demand for their fuel made with millions-year-old plants and animals with their plastics and other #petroproducts. Our health and climate be damned! https://t.co/DdmHzH2XYc
We are making people sick and cooking the planet by digging millions-year-old plants and animals out of the ground for toxic plastics we use for five minutes. https://t.co/DdmHzH2XYc
Gave a talk at GreenBiz 23 on Transitioning the Chemical Industry to Address the Climate, Plastics and Toxics Crises. Thanks for the great turnout! #GreenBiz23
Standing in long line at airport. Saw a guy politely ask the woman behind him to give him a couple extra feet of space since his wife has cancer. She was pissed. “Dude, you’ve got your mask on!” We have come trust each other so little that there’s no room for compassion.
Bringing respect, grace and unconditional love to those we disagree with feels radical and scary today. We risk being called out for acts of compassion and understanding. Let's boldly do it anyway.
