A 17-year-old girl named Samridhi from Basti, Uttar Pradesh boarded an Intercity Express to Lucknow for her BSc Biotechnology entrance exam.
The journey was just 150 km, but the train arrived 2.5 hours late.
By the time she reached the exam centre, the gates were closed.
She lost an entire academic year.
Instead of letting it go, she sued Indian Railways.
After a 7-year legal battle, the court ordered Railways to pay her ₹9.1 lakh within 45 days.
@whatisdapoint@surajkrishv@pseudo_coder@komal_42 Torturing the mother cow for milk and separating the calf after birth (who the milk is actually meant for). Killing the male calf in many cases. Using their skin to make a pretend male calf which helps the mother lactate. Lifetime of pain and trauma. Dead animals don’t feel pain.
Capitalism calls itself adult because it speaks in markets, budgets, discipline, and responsibility. But its deepest values are childish... hoard more, beat others, own more, grow bigger, dominate the room. It’s not maturity. It’s arrested development with a bank account.
@machopankaj@NewsAlgebraIND What is wrong with the suggestion of ISKCON managing MLA canteens as well? She is in fact bringing more contracts for ISKCON. Ideally government employees should eat the same food as kids in mid-day meals.
@surajkrishv@pseudo_coder@komal_42 But dairy too involves extreme animal cruelty, worse than eggs. Veganism is the only kinder option. I would venture so far to say that eating a dead animal is kinder than consuming milk products, knowing what they do to cows and calves.
UNSOLD HOUSING INVENTORY RISES TO 18 MONTHS AS SUPPLY OUTPACES DEMAND
India’s housing market is showing signs of cooling as supply starts outpacing demand. With unsold inventory stretching to 18 months, the next phase may shift from price momentum to absorption and execution discipline for developers.
Lo Behold! 🚨
The script writes itself! 🎪😂
First, the UP government creates a toothless SIT to look into the massive Ram Mandir donation scam. The catch? They completely bypass standard legal procedures and don't file a single FIR, ignoring glaring evidence of insider theft.
Next, this SIT wraps up its probe and dutifully submits the report to IAS officer Sanjay Prasad. Who just happens to sit on the Ram Mandir Trust board as an ex-officio member. 😂😂😂
You truly cannot make this up. They are submitting a robbery report to the very authority responsible for safeguarding the vault while it was being looted.
Cinema. Pure cinema. 👏👏👏 😂😂
@OrevaZSN data centers must be 100% energy self-sufficient using renewables, including cooling. Must be prohibited by laws from using the public electric grid or public resources. It's 2026 and there are plenty of effective and efficient renewable sources of clean energy available.
This is your friendly reminder that data centres don’t actually need water. They need a cooling system and are using water because it’s the cheapest way to do it.
@Geotactix@REDBOXINDIA China is extremely advanced. They are investing billions in water harvesting and conservation, building data centres underwater and trying advanced cooling technologies, unlike data centres in India. And they are also not running water shortages already in their cities.
@BattiDabal@REDBOXINDIA Hence their citizens are protesting. India has far lower freshwater per citizen than USA. They are a water surplus country unlike ours. And they are dumping data centres here.
@death_tonight@lytomia This would be the most perfect way to life in capitalism that could very exist. They won’t give it to us unless everyone everywhere on earth stepped out on the streets.
Indian tech workers aren't "hardworking". They're just the cheapest, most obedient labor on the planet.
12-14 hour days, weekends, festivals, 2 AM calls, all accepted with "sir, no problem".
Meanwhile foreign engineers do half the work for 5-8x the money and still have boundaries.
We don’t have a talent advantage. We have a desperation advantage. That’s the real Indian tech story tbh.
