One thing is certain climate change is going to hit us, even if we are prepared for it and we be forced to change the way we live. It will become unavoidable to try to adapt sustainable lifestyles and so we must increase our knowledge about the SDGs.

Tigris & Euphrates, the ancient rivers of the world have supported many past civilizations and are now dying.
Increased tourism adds to environmental cost for Iraq. Our religious tourism must strengthen Iraq’s ecology instead of becoming a challenge for the local communities.

Reminder: Karbala and Najaf are no different. The holy cities pay an environmental price for all the single-use plastic spoons and cups that we can easily avoid during our regular pilgrimage. Prepare for a #sustainable_Arbaeen#plasticpollution#plasticfree
Approximately half of all plastic waste is submerged under the ocean. Alarming, isn't it? What is more frightening is the fact that the plastic left underwater for two weeks can be ten times more harmful to marine life.

Great initiative by Shia Muslims in Lucknow to main cleanliness during their religious processions.
Volunteers walk along with mourners keeping bins, collecting garbage and educating about cleanliness
This lessens half of the burden to clean the streets after the procession
We’re working with @greenpilgrim_ this year. A reminder to please carry you’re own reusable cup or bottle tomorrow and help our procession go green insha’Allah! Labbaik Ya Hussain! #arbaeenuk#marblearch#london #
