@VanierDe @1Canoe2Paddles VCA proposal to City for some years now is to reduce # lanes to 3 like Mtl Rd east of Pkwy for traffic calming &matching bike lane EB to already existing WB & connecting to new bike track at N River. Inexpensive albeit short term solution. City response: use Adawe bridge.

Firefighters successfully rescued/resuscitated a dog & a cat from a condo unit that had a kitchen 🔥 in the 200 block of Greensway Ave in Vanier. We responded at approx 17:13 & the first crew arrived in 3 min & found the kitchen on🔥 in a ground flr unit & it had extended to the cupboards. Fire crews had the 🔥 under control at 17:22, 5 min after arriving & prevented it from spreading to any other units. The residents were not home at the time of the fire. #OttNews
