Future of Consumer Crypto: Abstract Chain with @LucaNetz & @gabusch at @kbwofficial
Luca Netz, CEO of Igloo Inc. and Pudgy Penguins, is joined by Gabby Dizon, CEO of YGG Play, to discuss the intersection of gaming, consumer crypto, and the @AbstractChain ecosystem. In this panel, they explore how Abstract is positioning itself as the consumer layer for Ethereum by fostering a synergistic relationship between top-tier app builders and a distribution-heavy platform.
• The philosophy of "The Huddle" and treating all community members, from billionaires to small holders, with equal respect and transparency.
• How the introduction of the Pengu token expanded the Pudgy Penguins ecosystem from 10,000 unique NFT holders to millions of participants.
• The success of YGG Play’s "LoLand" on Abstract Chain, reaching 600,000 users and demonstrating the platform’s real distribution advantage in the US and South Korea.
• Why Abstract focuses on providing users and distribution rather than grants to attract best-in-class builders.
• A look into the Abstract Portal (App Store) and upcoming plans for a major consumer-facing rebrand to scale beyond Web3 natives.
• Addressing the role of DeFi as a liquidity engine that supports and enhances core consumer experiences on the chain.
• The strategy behind the XP system: rewarding meaningful participation without turning the ecosystem into a "points farming" program.

Abstract will never be perfect.
And honestly, if it ever looked perfect, I would be concerned, because perfection in this space usually means selling your authenticity to vanity metrics.
Abstract is a little over a year old, and what it has achieved as a business is genuinely impressive. A lot of people will always be upset, because "number go up" is the main utility people look for on CT, and I don't blame them at all, it makes sense, everyone here wants to make money.
But other than the bear market hitting the entire market now, Abstract's vision has always been different, and the target audience has always been clearly different.
Did mistakes happen? Absolutely. Is this normal? Absolutely. Show me any other 1 year old chain currently performing better.
The community here is incredible, the team is trying hard, and at the end of the day, no company can cater to everyone. If a company tried to please every type of person, that would be the real red flag.
What comes fast goes fast. Good companies take time when they're building beyond the CT echo chamber.
I believe in this chain. Open for discussions💚
