This Court has made it clear it will not protect the rights of women.
I will. That’s why today I'm signing an Executive Order to protect access to reproductive health care.
If you’re against abortion, don’t get one.
If you’re against contraception, don’t take any.
If you’re against same-sex relationships, don’t have one.
If you’re against same-sex marriage, don’t marry someone of same gender.
Do not impose your beliefs & religion on all Americans.
Today is a very solemn moment for the United States.
The Supreme Court expressly took away a Constitutional right from the American people that it had already recognized. They simply took it away. That's never been done to a right that is so important to so many Americans.
After Columbine,
after Sandy Hook,
after Charleston,
after Orlando,
after Las Vegas,
after Parkland,
nothing has been done.
This time, that can’t be true. This time, we must actually do something.
Virginia requires magazine limitation for duck hunting—no more than 3 rounds in a shotgun. Why? It's not fair to ducks.
Yet when we try to limit magazines to 10 rounds in Congress, we’re blocked. If we can limit magazines to protect ducks, we must do the same to protect people.
Finally, ALL Americans are at risk w/ this decision. At its root, Roe protects the fundamental right to privacy. If the right to privacy is weakened, every person could face a future in which the govt can potentially interfere in the personal decisions you make about your life.
"How dare they tell a woman what she can do and cannot do with her own body," VP Harris says of lawmakers who "weaponize" the law. "How dare they try to stop her from determining her own future. How dare they try to deny women their rights and their freedoms."
So let me get this straight- one leak from the SCOTUS and the marshal is called in to investigate by Chief Justice Roberts but a sitting justice's wife literally plotted to overthrow the government and no investigation? Interesting.
