@DavidJuurlink@DavidJuurlink Wondering your thoughts on role of intralipid. Saw a case of accidental aconitine OD (VT, hypotension, ALOC) recently that responded well (ie off pressors within 1hr).
@rishibansal_@FrontlineConnex@MacDeptMed@machealthsci@TChanMD @DrShawnMondoux @HumairaFSaeed @KashPrime Awesome work by an up-and-coming physician, scholar and do-gooder who’s efforts and light will no doubt make the world a better place.
No doubt, a great team of people also helps.
Thanks to all who helped make a difference.
No doctor wants restaurants/stores closed
We’re DESPERATE for a nice dinner with friends. God knows we need it
I know business owners have suffered greatly
The point is that the cost of that meal may be too high for society to bear
Slow down. Support patios and outdoor dining
What is coming is avoidable.
Get first doses into as many arms as possible, as quickly as possible, without fussing about which vaccine is better
Maintain public health measures to prevent spread, even if politically unpopular
It's all fun and games until you start promoting antisemitic myths, @NBCSNL.
Every Israeli citizen—Jewish and Arab, Muslim, Christian, of any or no faith—is eligible to be vaccinated; 2/3 of Israel's Arab citizens over 60 already have been.
Apologize.
Happy to join a growing list of physicians, scientists, and public health specialists signing the #JohnSnowMemorandum - outlining a rational and science-based approach to #COVID19 control, and does NOT rely on mass natural infection to drive immunity.

#COVID19 outbreak from a recreational hockey game.
5 days after the game 15 people had compatible symptoms and 13 of them tested positive for the virus.
Lots of close proximity on the bench, dressing room & on the ice.
Tough to do this safely.

For those questioning about rec hockey - I personally don't think it's safe enough, even with the precautions in place. I'd keep it to the outdoor ice this year & avoid locker rooms & the bench (my second home). Tremendous opportunities for ripple effect to classes/community
1/
Look at the shape of these curves.
New York and Madrid had similar epidemics until they spectacularly diverged.
In March, both cities were caught by surprise and shut down because of #COVID19.
In September, the situation is under control in NY and alarming in Madrid.
Why?
We need rapid #COVID19 tests to help get people back to school/work safely.
They don't have to be perfect & they are not expected to function as traditional PCR tests.
They just need to identify those most likely to transmit COVID19.
Disappointing:

I’ve seen first-hand how much virtual connections can make a difference for patients and families during these challenging times.
Please consider joining our efforts to help our most vulnerable patient populations who need it the most.

It’s clear not enough is being done to ensure a safe return to schools. Covid-19 numbers are low but rising, and what progress we’ve made will be lost if we mishandle this crucial transition. We at #Masks4Canada we are recommending an approach with the following points
1/ I support a full time return to school but we need to do this safely and responsibly.
Ontario’s plan (and that of many other provinces) is not responsible and in particular it puts the most vulnerable members of society at risk of #COVID19.
