GM’s Active Fuel Management (AFM) causes collapsed lifters, leading to expensive repairs most Americans can’t afford. I drive my 15 Silverado, and 18 Yukon in a lower gear to avoid V4 mode and prevent lifter failure. Come on @GM or @epaleezeldin address this issue to save owners from costly breakdowns. #AFMIssues
My experience with my first truck I’ll never buy another @chevrolet or @GM vehicle.
Lifter failure at 98k miles. Cost $8500 for repair. 10k miles later. Same issue.
No loaners available. rental paid out of pocket with promise of reimbursement. Now they refuse to cover the cost
Is GM’s "fix" failing?

@GMC when will you finally admit your V8 engines manufactured with adaptive fuel management systems has a flaw resulting in major engine repairs or even failure? 2017 GMC Sierra with 74k miles with a bank 2 lifter collapse resulting in a significant repair!
@2140btc@Volkomm_@GMC The issue is @gmc is offering 50% for bank of lifters but should it need a new engine, they want to “stop work” then negotiate again.
They need to cover 100% of lifter job and any further work required.
