I believe that it is incumbent on them to look after their people by providing these services. Most of the civilised world does. The happiness index shows that such things improve lives.

The far left is almost nonexistent - the British Communist Party has <1300 members. The people you are referring to are actually centrists and centre-right!

@playboyreview @MarinaPurkiss It’s not. It the old reliable division of class falling down and having to be reinstated in different terms by those that wish to rule. Populism is the tool of choice after a slow burning revolution. That’s what we see.
