I wasn’t around in 1970, but the #TitanicRescue story seems to be the closest thing to the Apollo 13 mission that we’ve ever experienced in terms of hour-by-hour global fascination.

That had the oxygen issue, but it was different because oxygen was carried into the caves to allow them to safely exit.

@TNaro The Hyde Amendment 18 U.S.C. § 3006A allows federal courts to award attorneys' fees and costs to criminal defendants "where the court finds that the position of the United States was 'vexatious, frivolous, or in bad faith.’

I don’t know of any state that’s tried it.
