Dear @Uniswap,

I am writing this letter to you because your dapp is still blocked and can't be used in Ukraine. We had this conversation before and despite my efforts to convince you why it is legal to access the dapp from Kyiv (support ticket 169045), nothing has changed since then. I hope that public awareness can now make a difference.

The main reason you brought up is that Ukraine is present on the OFAC sanctions list provided on the U.S. Department of the Treasury website. However, you are completely misinterpreting the information. It is clearly stated that no goods, services, or technology must be provided to both the so-called DNR/LNR and the Crimea regions of Ukraine. Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities/regions are not mentioned whatsoever.

This is just absurd. Ukraine, being in the middle of the war, fighting for freedom, and you are limiting the availability of your service on some false regulatory claims.

Crypto and DeFi as we know them today would not exist without Uniswap's leadership and open-mindedness to change the financial world. Accessibility, immutability, and trustlessness are what should separate you from the tradfi circus. The former, however, seems to be precisely neglected.

I do believe that this is just a minor inconvenience for you to resolve. DeFi is for everyone.
