For those that didn't think I could work astronaut lasagna, Buzz Lightyear, and licking rocks into an alumni magazine spot, this one is for you!

The Brennecka household decided that the best way to start 2023 was by crawling around in a mud volcano. Alternative ideas welcome. #Colombia#Totumo#Geology#showertime
On Dec. 5, 2022, a team at LLNL's @lasers_llnl conducted the first controlled fusion experiment in history to achieve fusion ignition. Also known as scientific energy breakeven, the experiment produced more energy from fusion than the laser energy used to drive it.
@eruptionsblog Well, I always wanted a way to avoid pesky reviewers, and since HarperCollins let me draw a prehistoric Flava Flav, I just couldn't resist.
Book of the Day: Impact by @GregBrennecka
Have you ever wondered how giant space rocks that killed the dinosaurs and blasted off Earth's early toxic atmosphere led to Tom Selleck's Mustache?

@FutureJurvetson@mikeolson@NatureComms@NASAGoddard You are exactly correct about the publisher & the appendix. But, to be fair, the publisher's assumption is also correct, unfortunately. Which is exactly why I wrote the book in the first place. Third graders, on the other hand, love reading about isotopes and mass spectrometers.
Meteorites are known for destruction, but @GregBrennecka says life on Earth wouldn't exist without them. He talked about it with @markwbrodie.

@codydschultz Hah, yes, very specific for a pre-AMA... No major evolution since last year, CAIs formed super early and are just isotopically different in a lot of ways - hopefully you can come up with some good explanations!
