@LanceMcAlister I sincerely hope the Bengals, UC, and X have success this year. You deserve it after having to talk about this team on a nightly basis. It’s got to wear you out.
Being a Bengals fan you get the “D” announcers, and then you watch Redzone. Point being, you don’t realize how annoying and unprepared Tony Romo really is. He’s awful.
Things I enjoyed about Cincinnati sports in 2025:
Learning something interesting about Joe Flacco every time he opened his mouth.
Chase Burns striding off the mound after striking out the side vs the Yankees in his MLB debut. He’d strikeout the first five batters faced.
Trey Carroll soaking in his Crosstown Shootout performance.
22,000+ enjoying St X vs Elder at Paycor.
Local golfer Will Grimmer winning the 104th edition of the Ohio Open at historic Firestone Country Club.
Andrew Abbott soaking his first All-Star appearance with his family.
Nick Hagglund returning from devastating injuries, and climbing into The Bailey to celebrate the playoff elimination of the Crew.
The look on the faces of TJ Friedl and Noelvi Marte when each made leaping/game saving catches.
Brent Suter’s clubhouse dance celebration after the Reds clinched a playoff spot.
Joe Burrow’s emotions coming through after returning to beat Baltimore on Thanksgiving.
Hunter Greene pounding his chest after the final out of his complete game, 1-hit, 1-0 shutout of the Cubs in September.
Mount Healthy product/Lions running back David Montgomery scoring a touchdown vs the Bengals at Paycor in front of his paralyzed sister, Kiki. She was watching in person for the first time since her accident.
UC defensive back Matthew McDoom following a 100-yard convoy for his Pick-6 at Oklahoma State.
Nick Martinez pacing in the dugout before heading out for the 9th inning of his no-hit bid.
The smile and competitive fire of Caty McNally in winning a match in her return from Tommy John surgery at Cincinnati Open tennis.
26-year old St. X product Trevor Kuncl signing with the Reds in his first opportunity in pro ball, and then posting a 2.34 ERA at Double-A
Cody Ford rumbling 21-yards and his teammates going nuts.
The Savanna Bananas boarding a bus and showing up at the Nuxhall Miracle League Fields in Fairfield to conduct a clinic. It was early the morning after their Friday night game at GABP, and before their Saturday night game.
The look of pride on Dave Lapham’s face as he showed off the fit of his Ring of Honor jacket at midfield of Paycor.
Elly De La Cruz trying on Terry Francona’s glasses during a pitching change.
The family of Pete Rose soaking in the celebration downtown and at GABP for Pete Rose Night.

@LanceMcAlister It’s highly unlikely they will ever compete like they did in the 70’s . Watching the Jays and Dodgers play in the WS was an eye opener. So much more talent than the penny pinching Reds.
