@smerconish, I don't believe it is right to deny generic service to anyone such as serving food or making a wedding cake. But I don't think it's right to force someone to do personalized service in a way that celebrates something that is against their religious convictions.

@smerconish, regarding Dr Enos's study, I would believe that for most white people in 1940, having a black neighbor would correlate very highly with economic status and suspect that economic status is what is really driving the difference in how they vote today and not neighbor.
