@ThomRainer Preached the funeral services of long time church member, and deacon who shot his wife and then committed suicide. Double funeral my last month at the church. Hard, hard day!

Sunday we welcomed two new members at Springhill Baptist, Gary and Lori. Lori came forward as a believer who was Christened has a child. She wants to follow in believers baptism next sunday. Welcome to the family of God!

The strongest stronghold that God will have to deliver the SBC from is our traditions! Col.2:8 #plagued

Urgency, simplicity and complete trust in the power of God! That’s what’s needed for the gospel ministry. God doesn’t have to have a denomination to accomplish HIs ministry, that is inclusive to all of them and even the so called, “non-denominations.” WE NEED HIM!

I heard a man once say once in an SBC conference, “When baptist we are not on mission, we begin to mess with one another.” He told the, the story of a of man who could run a biz but couldn’t balance his own check book! The SBC better get back on mission. The GOSPEL mission!

That’s what’s happened to many in our SBC!

Need help to define the following:
Contemporary worship vs traditional worship??

Sad that’s it’s come to that. I guess worship in Jesus day was traditional and now it’s contemporary?

We do need to get some clarity to the term, “worship” music!

There are soooooooooo many ideas out there of what it is. It has nothing to do with the bear of the music!

The Great Commission: it seems that many want to write about, sing about and preach about but few actually do it!

There is worship that God accepts and worship that he does not! It’s more than a song, an emotion, a feeling, a meeting, a sermon, a church attendance: it’s a LIFE surrendered to Christ, dying to self and manifest itself DAILY in faith filled acts, repentance, prayer, love, etc!

Preachers with, “Tour dates” hmmm! Just show up, God will send who he wants there.

God always has a remnant, don’t be surprised if the masses are not going the same direction as you. Stay faithful, he will!

I find it amusing and disturbing at the same time, that since the activity at the Asbury college, so many are now experts on what revival is, what it should look like etc!

As a pastor, It’s hard to ignore the real stuff going on in the SBC, NAMB, etc and just focus on the positive because focusing on the positive doesn’t correct this stuff. A real move of God. I pray

So sad that the President of the United States would serve as the unapologetic champion of the Culture of Death. This one does. He is proudly and arrogantly the declared enemy of unborn human life.
