In 1986, my folks bought two $1k savings bonds in my name for $500 each. Today I cashed one in for $2,074. That $2,074 won’t even cover our two-person monthly @WellmarkBCBS health insurance premium of $2,190 (up from last year’s monthly $1,766). My wife and I are healthy. Wtf?!
