What the fuck kind of bullshit is this?
The cops knocked this man out of his wheelchair and then took the chair away and destroyed it.

So no, I will not be impressed until you apologize for the religious abuse you’ve perpetuated, until you admit you’ve upheld a system where you benefit over the humanity of others, until you stop protecting abusers, until you call what you’ve done abuse!!!
Most of the religious abuse we were subjected to is rooted in white supremacy. Because patriarchy is white supremacy, purity culture is white supremacy, abusive authority is white supremacy, authoritative parenting is white supremacy, anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments are white supremacy.
So no, I will not clap for any white pastor teaching on racism. I want to see you repent first, ask for forgiveness, pay reparations, seek restoration, admit your complicity, confess your abuse. The notion that you are experts on all things is evidence of white supremacy in you!
It is re-traumatizing to see white pastors talking about racism. It is painful to see ppl who have ignored our voices for years pretend they are experts now, without having apologized, without having addressed how they’ve traumatized, without having admitted their racism. (1)
Dear fundamentalist Christian Trump supporters: If Obama had held the Bible backwards and upside down, you would immediately have called him the Antichrist.
Trump is an inhumane racist. He poses a legitimate threat to people of color. He greenlit open fire on protesters. I am grieved and furious and remain stunned at the Christians who still back him.
To put the Bible ahead of Jesus is to put your beliefs ahead of people. This is the very reason Jesus continually condemned the Pharisees. The fullest revelation of God we have is Jesus, and if this is our starting point, people will always come first. 3/
The fundamental flaw with Fundamentalist Christianity is that those within choose to believe God more fully reveals himself in a book rather than a person. The Bible trumps Jesus. 1/
If your belief in God is based first on a book, it’s easy to put inanimate things - money, gun rights, ideologies - ahead of people. If your belief in God is based on a person, then at the most basic level, you must to put people first. 2/
Instead, offer up thanks on this Easter Sunday for the technology we have that allows us to “meet” without actually meeting, and take advantage of it. Choose to put others first by staying in your homes. That’s most loving, Christ-like thing you can do today. (5/5)
Dear Christians who are gathering for church today and defying social distancing orders,
The Jesus you serve taught us to take care of our brothers and sisters, to put them first above our selfish desires, and to walk in love. (1/5)
