I just wish Joe had the courage to manage beyond simply predictable, back of the baseball card ways. Altuve should have been dropped way down in the lineup, or sat altogether, for multiple months of the season based on actual performance. Cam had multiple periods of much better run production, as did Yanier and even Allen! Cam had 16 of 20 SOLO HRs. Imagine if he was batting 4-6 for even a month of the season when he was hot. He still had 10-15 more RBIs than Altuve! Imagine a guy playing every day batting 3-5, occasionally 1-2, and has barely 40 RBIs!! Batting Altuve in those spots cost the Astros at least 20 runs if only a replacement level hitter was there. Look up his actual numbers with RISP. LOB, etc.

BP wasn't good. But the story here is the offense, or lack thereof! Worst offense in baseball since Aug 1. And batting 3 guys hitting under .200 with RISP in your 4-5-6 holes is just malpractice! Does Joe really not know how BAD Altuve has been with RISP?! He's like 1 for 20 and .180 for the season. Walker and Varsho not much better. And don't get me started on runners on 3B with less than two outs! Altuve may be the worst in the league!

@BenOndaTop Brain dead Espada. I truly wonder if he even has a clue the RISP numbers difference. Night and day this season between the two. And Jake has been extremely poor his whole career in similar situations. Espada is safe and predictable. Seems clueless of actual data.

Altuve is so unproductive in critical abs it's outright ridiculous. Batting like .125 with RISP. And he mostly gets lucky infield hits.
